Abstract
A new era begins for medicine, digital medicine, defined as the use of digital tools to bring the practice of medicine to a high definition and individualized level; it promises to revolutionize health care and wellbeing. The core of this revolution is the development of technological solutions to monitor, process and integrate large amounts of data at individual and population levels to help address health problems and the challenges faced by patients, physicians and health systems as well. Artificial Intelligence (AI), and in particular deep learning, are among the leading technological tools that are beginning to be used in the interpretation of medical images and electronic health records. Are our health systems ready for the future?...
