The important work being in preparation, happily edited on history of diagnostic radiology in Uruguay by doctors Eduardo Wilson and Angélica Wozniak, they asked me for information on radiology at the Central Military Hospital of Montevideo and particularly about the doctor Simon Oyhenart Vigneau (1903-1985).Simon Pelgrino Oyhenart Vigneau He was born in Montevideo on April 30, 1903, the son of Simón Oyhenart and Ana Vigneau, both natives French. In 1930, a 6th year medical student, proposed by the Director of Health Dr. Alberto Anselmi, entered as a Health Assistant (honorary) at the Military Hospital. Obtained his title of surgeon on December 31 from 1931.
