A new road to travel.
"The good that dies leaves us in our hand a seed of renewal." José E. Rodó.
Abstract
From the first issue of the "Revista del Servicio de Sanidad de las Fuerzas Armadas", to the current publication "Salud Militar", 60 years have passed. Its principles have not changed since that distant Editorial of 1951, the first period of the publication, where it was reported that the Health Service had been honored with the designation of Montevideo as the venue of the "XIV International Congress of Military Medicine and Pharmacy" and thus, under the direction of Dr. Guillermo Rodríguez Guerrero, accompanied by an outstanding Editorial Committee, it was stated that "...no effort should be spared in ideas and work in order to achieve a brilliant success in the realization of this important event".
