Abstract

Facing pain, death and illness on a constant basis is undoubtedly a permanent source of stress.
Stress, conceived as a normal and adaptive response to an anxiogenic situation, may subside or become chronic.
When the coping style is ineffective, the result of chronic exposure to stress can generate Burnout Syndrome.
This syndrome is characterized by EMOTIONAL TIREDNESS, DEPERSONALIZATION and EVOLUTION OF PERSONAL ACHIEVEMENTS that develop as a silent and overlapping process, which prevents the person from perceiving and recognizing what he/she is suffering from.
It is important to prioritize for its diagnosis, often confused with depression, the multicausal look and the situational approach that makes possible its Prevention, Diagnosis and Treatment.
Our proposal: LET'S TAKE CARE OF THOSE WHO CARE.
