Patient care is significantly improved when physicians and psychologists work together. Psychology as a health profession increasingly encourages therapists to increase their interaction with physicians in a variety of treatment settings. The relationship is mutually beneficial. Collaborative practice is the strategy of the present and future era, as it means offering true holistic care.
