Infrequent cause of of upper gastrointestinal bleeding, duodenal polyp of 30 mm (Brunnerian adenoma).

We present a patient with upper gastrointestinal bleeding, whose etiology turned out to be a voluminous Brunnerian adenoma of the first portion of the duodenum, successfully treated with endoscopic polypectomy. The infrequency of the same is emphasized. Endoscopic biopsies may be insufficient for a definitive histologic diagnosis.
