Reorganization of the Nursing Department of the H.C.FF.AA.

The present work has the intention of reflecting in a synthetic way a series of efforts made by the Nursing Team of the Nursing Department of the Central Hospital of the Armed Forces, with the purpose of making quality improvement a reality. With this purpose, a series of stages carried out for the creation, installation and development of a "Total Quality Program" at Hospital level are described. In this work, the "National Standards for Nursing Services" approved by the National Accreditation Commission for Nursing Services (CO.NA.SE) and its experimental results were applied. Finally, conclusions and proposals for further work in subsequent stages are presented.
