No part of the human being reveals the character in equal proportion as the face; none is capable of expressing the sensations, feelings and emotions of man as the face.
The one who suffers injuries in this area of the body, feels psychic limitations and considers himself exposed to the criticism of everyone around him, which motivates a decrease in his personality.
These disfigurements are caused by:
congenital malformations and developmental disorders; traumatic accidents: traffic or occupational, civil or military; and mutilations of pathological origin, such as oncological diseases and their surgical sequelae.
This last cause is the origin of this work.
The purpose is the detailed description of the clinical case of rehabilitation of a patient by means of a facial prosthesis in combination with a dental prosthesis, both of them in solidarity.
The technique used constitutes and proposes simple and totally new therapeutic aspects for our environment and the region.
