In 1999, a group of nursing graduates from the HCFFAA investigated the possible factors that influence the health of the nursing staff in the medical services. To this end, they conducted a descriptive study over a period of three months, from which the following proposals emerged: 1. Strengthen the professional role in terms of the support that the nurse can provide organizationally in the service. 2. To incorporate the staff in the elaboration of proposals aimed at improving working conditions. 3. Promote instances of continuing education in the service in accordance with the expectations of the staff and professionals. 4. To open lines of research aimed at: generalizing the proposals in other institutions according to their profile, deepening aspects of the work environment to attack identified risk factors. Continuing with this work, this year we took the first two proposals and inquired about the strengths and weaknesses of the personnel in order to implement them. The data were obtained from the application of an innovative evaluation instrument, which allowed us to have a more real approach to the needs and problems of the personnel and subsequently implement and evaluate the operationalization of the proposals that emerged.
